Today is Learn about Butterflies Day.*
One way to attract butterflies is to grow flowers in your yard. Garry took these pictures in our backyard. The light yellow one is a tiger swallowtail. The top right is a gorgone checkerspot, and the left is a checkerspot. To learn more, see Learn about Butterflies and Moths.

My mother and I LOVE butterflies. When I was little my big brother caught them and killed them then pinned them to styrofoam....how I hated that.
